About the event
Let’s take an in-depth look at various binding techniques that will be sure to dazzle! We will take a detailed look at preparing, sewing and finishing our quilts with options as traditional double-fold binding, flange binding, piped binding, faux flange binding, bias edge binding, two-sided binding and facing! Many examples will be shown and discussed as well. Other finishing techniques such as hang sleeves and quilt labels will be discussed as well. Be sure to join us as we master the finishing touches to our quilts!
Supply List:
Each student should bring sewing machine, cords, neutral colored piecing thread, thread snips, fabric scissors, seam ripper, other common sewing notions, 1/4” piecing foot, zipper foot, pre-wound bobbins, pen and paper for note taking. Personal iron and wool mat would be helpful.
