Lecture: My Journey as a Fiber Artist
Description: Renee Fleuranges-Valdes will share her journey from a long and prosperous career in the tech world to her current passion as fiber artist. She spent five years prior to her retirement from IBM, writing a quasi-business plan, with a focus on defining her artistic voice and building a presence in the art quilt world. Since retirement she has become a fabulous art quilter, breaking stereotypes and creating many wonderful pieces full of joy and movement.
